Day 350-353 (12/17-12/19)

Day 350 - The Nutcracker Ballet!!  (Thanks to Cheryl for keeping Norah while I took the olders!)

Day 351 - Making fingerprint Christmas Trees

later, Ems and I began baking...

She was so amazing, and decorated most of the cookies, even with royal icing. We were up until 10:30, and she hung right in there.  She might have suffered a tad the next day from lack of sleep...

Day 353 - Life-sized Candyland at the library.  What fun!

346-350 (12/12-12/16)

Day 346 - Icing Christmas Trees with neighbors!!

yummy!!

Day 347 - This girl "rocks" the "helper title" at times.

Day 348 - Again, the big helper.  This was a shower for a sweet girl from our church who has moved to Kansas.  She and my Emily share a first and middle name, so Ems has always had an affection for her.  The first wedding Emily ever attended was for this Emily, and now she is having a baby.  My Emily wanted to help her by giving the gifts to her to open.  Sweet, sweet helper.

Day 348 - Blurry, but sweet moments feeding her baby.  I am not sure that she has ever seen a baby take a bottle.  Somehow these nurturing qualities are just born into a girl.

Day 350- Enjoying the nice weather

This Ben is also an AMAZING servant.  Always offering to help.  His acts of service are of the gifted kind...

339-345 (12/5-12/11)

Day 339 - Art at Birmingham Museum of Art.  If you have not been (and live close by) it is definitely a "must-do", and FREE!  (The white-out you see behind Ben is a great display where they can draw with their hands)

Day 340 - Library with great friends!

Day 341 - Sweet Nori Woos (We have decided  she looks like "Cindy Who"  That hair just hangs in her face.  Any advice on getting a toddler to keep a bow in her hair??  And socks on her feet??

Day 342 - Did you know that bumble bees like apples?

...and play a mean game of Rummikub... (btw, she beat me)

...and are generally, just the cutest things around?  Emily woke up and wanted to be a bumble bee.  She came up with most everything, right down to having pollen pockets on her legs (in her case arms).  We used black tape to tape up her arms, jacket and hood.  When choosing her wings, she wanted to leave them pink "so everyone would know she was a female bee".  She wore this all day, even to dinner with friends.

Day 343 - Racing Ms. Kathy (while wearing a dress, and carrying a doggy...multi-tasker)

Day 344 - Gifts for the postman.  (Emily has been in quite the giving spirit this Christmas!)

Day 345 - Training to be "Hercules"  (Still studying the Ancients in History")
