Fullness Anniversary Picnic

Our church celebrated its 17th Anniversary this April. We had a blast celebrating!

Helena Park

This weekend we threw a picnic together and headed to the Helena waterfall park. My child loves being outside, being in water, and being with her daddy, so the trip was very successful. Oh, we had chocolate chip cookies too!

Swim, swim

Emily had her first swimming lesson yesterday (you might remember that we tried this last summer but both lessons consisted of 30 mins of screaming for mommy). This time was a different story, thank you Lord. She did cry, for about 3-5 mins, but warmed up to her instructor, Mr. Jay, right away.

She also blew tons of bubbles and voluntarily put her face in a few times. He was very excited with all the things she already does. I was completely relieved that she had a good time! She enjoyed a Chik-fil-a ice cream for all her hard work. We go back Thursday for lesson #2.

Baby News: My group strep B was negative! This is such an answer to prayer. I was 1.5cm yesterday. This baby seems real settled in there and may gestate a bit longer than his sister did. I am feeling great, and not in a huge hurry for him to arrive.

We do have one prayer request, Troy (beginning next week), is out of town, many times. So if you could just pray that he would be "in-town" when little guy decides to arrive. Troy's employers are being very accommodating, willing to take him off of trips, etc., but we just feel that he should stay on them due to the amount of effort that would have to be placed into changing him from certain trips. I believe that Emily's birthday was so perfect in every way (if you have never heard her story, ask one day), and that He will not do any less for this son of mine.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that Aunt Stac was going to take a few maternity pics. They were so good. Troy couldn't be there, but the ones of Ems and I were precious. I am having a hard time deciding which ones to enlarge to "life size".

Last week we headed up the street to visit with our sweet neighborhood friend Abbey and her mom Molly. Abbey and Emily get along great together. Sharing is always an "issue" at this age, but they are pretty good at sharing and playing together. Our goal was to swim in their pool, but the sun decided to stay behind the clouds, which made it a tad too cold for that, so we will be going back to hang out in the water soon!

Speaking of water, Ems has her first swimming lesson since this summer tomorrow at 11:30pm, so you can say a little prayer for that.

Oh, and last, but not least, we had our first hummingbird this week. They make us very happy around here!

Easter

Easter weekend was busy but such a blessing. We feel very blessed to have wonderful friends here that feel more like family. This is the second year that we hosted Easter lunch at our house with several of our other friends who are "orphaned" (without extended family in town). This year we had 21 and it was a full house. I loved it. Can't wait to do it again next year, hopefully in a new house. Maybe next year I will have cutsie egg decorations, they totally did not make the cut this year.

Easter morning I woke her up and brought her down to her basket. She was thrilled to eat a chocolate bunny for breakfast. Over breakfast we re-told the resurrection story and Troy asked me to explain to her how the eggs and bunnies played into it. Turkey...

I just love how the dogwoods in our area bloomed the week of Easter. We have several in our yard so I explained the "legend" to Emily. Every time she sees one, she says "they put one of those on Jesus' head". :) She is my doll.

We are going to plant our veggies this weekend. Emily quickly informed me last night: "how about we plant and bunch of strawberries and banana's", "oh and some leaves, you know like lettuce mommy". Which got me thinking that I wasn't planning to plant anything she she really likes to eat, so now I am thinking of planting some different things.

Baby update: had my 36 wk check yesterday. All looked good. Heart rate was 124 (slowing down a bit), and I was 1cm 50% effaced (for those who care).

We are having awesome weather here in the Ham, hope you are enjoying your weather too. We are planning to swim today (yipee!!!).
