So, a lifetime has gone by, it seems, since I created this blog. We have had our baby girl and our hearts now, officially, live outside of our bodies. What a gift from God? Emily Elizabeth is perfect, beautiful, and was born "at just the right time".
Here she is, only a few hours old. Who knew that our lives had changed forever in a breif moment. We would love as we have never loved, smile at things we never knew we could smile at (an infant passing gas, oh but she looks so cute when she does it), become selfless in a second, and we would no longer get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep :).
I took a while to realize that she was ours. As a friend put it, "you just keep looking at them and thinking how cute they are and wondering when their parents are coming to get them"!!
For now we will soak all of this in and share what we can.
