We are blessed by the Lord in so many ways, we all are, but one thing that still amazes me is how He orchestrated everything for me to be able to stay home with Emily AND work at the same time. When Troy was fired from Ligon, we wondered why? Although we moved on and knew God was in control, we still asked; why?, What could we have done differently?, Did we misunderstand you when we took this job and moved?, etc.
Two years later it is obvious that He was working through all of it, for our good. (Is that promise in the Bible somewhere? :) ) We are not always guaranteed to see what He is up to, but we are guaranteed that if we are in Him, He will work it out (Romans 8:28) for our good. Thank you Jesus, for working through good times and bad, and making us step back and be amazed at your goodness.
So! This blessing of being able to work and be mommy at home, is no small feat! Wow, it is hard! But it is worth it, she is worth it!
Here is a quick picture of her playing while I am working:
