We began our celebration Saturday night with pizza and chocolate chip cookies, yum.
This morning, I woke up to this...
This is a Silpat. If you don't have one, get it. It is great!
Then we had yummy whole wheat blueberry muffins, and headed to church for some great worship with our awesome church family. Left a bit early b/c Ems has a little congestion and we did not want to share it in the nursery.
We headed to the Ross's after a drive around to look at houses. Ems and I hung out by the pool for a bit and loved this frog...
Our sweet friends arrived for a small cookout (Cheryl and Troy wanted to have a party for me, but with Little Man refusing to make his debut, we were too afraid to plan it until after he comes. So...no worry my friends, we will have another get together and celebrate BIG!) This was an sweet gathering with our sweet family though and I felt very loved!
Of course we had Edgar's Strawberry Cake...
Sweet, precious, cards from "Anna-wees" and "Owivia". I almost cried reading them. What sweet girls they are!
The Brookins gave me some earrings and a beautiful necklace, and She - code for Shelia (so glad she's home), gave me an awesome cookbook.
Troy somehow also got in on the loot! ;)
These girls...love them...

Then we came home for naps, and when Ems got up, she wanted to play in the rain, so her and her daddy did...

Then we played Old Maid...
Danced a bit...

And bathed for bed. Whew! What a great day. Had so many calls, and love everyone for remembering me.

Also today, sweet Oma went home to be with her Savior Jesus. (Oma is Josh Brewer's grandmother and we loved her dearly). She had, what they believe to have been, a mini-stroke a little over a week ago, then the beginnings of a heart attack. They went in Thursday and completed 7 bypasses. Her sweet body just never recovered from the surgery. She was 84, and lived a long life. I will always remember how she loved us as family whenever she saw us. We love you Oma, and we love the family that you gave to us.
