Day 231-236 (8/20-8/25)

Day 231 - School is going well.  Each day we come up with number sentences for the "number of the day"  Emily loves this activity!

Experiment on doing things "without God" and doing things "with Gods help".  Our verse this week is "Nothing is Impossible for God" Luke 1:37

Day 232 - 'M' is for MONKEY

Day 233 - 'T' is for TONGUE  :)  which she likes to show you much of the time these days!

later we did a hands-on activity about birds.  We used different kinds of "beaks" to show us why each bird had a different kind of beak based on their diet.

First up - Humming Birds and nectar

Sparrows and seeds/nuts

Next robins and worms

Woodpeckers and insects

Pelicans and fish

Eagles and meat

Day 234 - We made a trip to Montgomery for work and to celebrate Mawmaws birthday.  While we were there, we used a local gal to cut our hair

Day 235 - Family stroll at Jemison Park, always a favorite!

our latest attachment...

Day 236 - We went to a little stream by our house with our neighbor friends.  Summertime is winding down, so we are trying to take advantage of all of the activities that we can!

I LOVE your science experiments both the chemistry ones and the biology ones. If all teachers taught like this, our children would be science excited and science literate, even those who are not science gifted.
